Week at a Glance (May 3 – May 9)

A week when a tall tree was reduced to a stump.
When sunlight called leaves to begin to unfurl
and flowers to burst from buds.
A week when a natural archway beckoned us to follow a path,
and reflections on water caused us to pause and reflect.
A week when I tried my hand at homemade tortillas
in honor of cinco de mayo.
And a week when painted rocks provided
touches of whimsey and spontaneous smiles.

About Mary Jane

I am a retired English teacher. My husband, Frank, and I have lived on Cape Cod since 2000. I am a lifelong bread baker and writer and have been posting a blog on Falmouth Patch for the last few years. Savory Seasons has been largely devoted to recipes and food in general. I am hoping to expand my focus in this new blog.
