Rite of passage. From tangled branches under flooded bogs, berries coaxed to float in a sea of glory. Glowing red again the backdrop of a brilliant Autumn sky.

Two disparate things One from Olympia, Greece. One from a Cape Cod bog. One man made. One sprung from nature. One a tribute to mighty Zeus. One a natural gift to man. Each rising alone and tall.  

Mykonos mascot leisurely strutting between tables and into doorways.  Clearly claiming his right to share restaurant and walkway space.  Much to the delight of locals and tourists alike.

Visual and sensory fruits of travel. Ruins and vistas. Sculptures and paintings. Glorious sunsets over ancient seas.   Century old olive trees whose fruit and liquid gold have graced generations of tables. And tomatoes that tasted like sunshine.
