Spring Beach

Fickle Spring is a tease.
One sweet day followed
by wind swept chill.
But quickening is palpable.
Sunbeams dance as waves tease the shore.
The occasional beach stroller,
newly sans hat and gloves,
will notice a softness to the breeze
that tantalizes with remembered delights
of toes in the sand days and balmy nights.

About Mary Jane

I am a retired English teacher. My husband, Frank, and I have lived on Cape Cod since 2000. I am a lifelong bread baker and writer and have been posting a blog on Falmouth Patch for the last few years. Savory Seasons has been largely devoted to recipes and food in general. I am hoping to expand my focus in this new blog.

You captured the moment perfectly. Such lovely use of words. Of course, Frank’s photos are special as well.
