And Now For Dessert

We don’t normally eat dessert. Even on the cruise, we waved away the dessert menu. But at Tamarind, the amazing Oriental restaurant on the ship, there was a line item listing a fortune cookie for dessert. That seemed simple enough, and a good addition to coffee, so we each ordered one. My eyes literally widened as I saw the plates heading for our table. Our “simple” fortune cookies were crisp cookie shells stuffed with soft chocolate with a side of vanilla ice cream. Just perfect!

We chose to have dinner at Tamarind twice on our recent Holland America cruise on the Eurodam. The dessert “mistake” happened on our second visit, or we would have had it both times. Definitely memorable.
