New Door Opens

Thinking about how doors open. Often unexpectedly.

Selling the boat was a good thing. We were ready to say goodbye to all of the aspects of boat ownership. Its time had come and gone with no regrets. It was actually freeing to go to the beach without the nagging feeling that we should be using the boat. Calculating the expense involved with having a boat makes it guilt producing to let it just bob on its mooring.

Then that new door opened. We joined the Seacrest Beach Club. Parking sticker. Lounge chairs, umbrellas on Old Silver Beach. Restaurant, barefoot bar, pool nearby.

Sunset over the water last night felt like coming home after a long journey.
