Early Christmas

IMG_2085Bags are packed. Leaving soon for a few days at Disney World. Our Christmas present to one another. A couple of happy wanderers wending our way through familiar territory. This time surrounded by the sights and sounds of the holidays.

Animals in good hands with our friend, Joanne, who moves in to care for Daisy and Sam. Grateful that they can be together at home while we take a vacation.

Excited at the prospect of relaxing into the holidays. I read a few entries recently in a journal that I kept in December, 2001. High stress was all but oozing off of the pages. Trying to do it all was taking a toll.

Life is much better now. We’ve evolved some new and lovely traditions over the past years. Nutcracker with Betsy and Lauren. Christmas on the Cape weekend. Holidays at Highfield. Disney World at Christmas won’t be a yearly event, but it’s a happy addition this year.

Not planning to blog remotely. I’ll take pictures and post again next Sunday once we’re home.
