Real End of the Season

For some people, the summer season ends with Labor Day; others claim that it doesn’t end until the October 12’th weekend, but for us, it doesn’t really end until the Falmouth Marathon. College friends visit from out of state; the local crew gathers, and it’s a busy, fun weekend. In years past, we’ve had runners in the race. That wasn’t the case this year, but we gathered anyway just for the fun of being together.

This is how Daisy spent the Monday morning after a weekend of non-stop activity. When our houseguests left on Monday morning, she crawled on the couch, heaved a sigh and crashed for two hours in a very undignified position. She’s definitely a people person (dog?) and loves the attention and the food handouts, but at her core, she’s a total couch potato.

Goodbye summer. Hello holidays!
