Sleepy Sunday

IMG_0123

Morning snow
provoking groans
of dismay.
Too early
for winter.
Slippery sleet
sliding down
windows.
Wind swirling
leaves and
rattling shutters.
The hour gained
in Spring lost
once again.
Perfect day
for a nap.

About Mary Jane

I am a retired English teacher. My husband, Frank, and I have lived on Cape Cod since 2000. I am a lifelong bread baker and writer and have been posting a blog on Falmouth Patch for the last few years. Savory Seasons has been largely devoted to recipes and food in general. I am hoping to expand my focus in this new blog.

I drove through blizzard-like conditions this morning in Plymouth where snow accumulated on my car. An hour later, in Lowell, not a sign of snow. Roads clear. A patch of blue in the sky. Too early for winter!

Have you noticed that the Cape has become the snow belt of late?!
