Library In The Cloud

The number of things I don’t understand about the Cloud would fill volumes. All I know is that my Audible library is now in it. I have a virtual library in a virtual cloud. And then, of course, there’s the busy little App that allows my titles to be displayed on my iPhone and my iPad.

When I want to listen to a book, I simply click on the title, and its contents are instantly downloaded from the Cloud to my phone or pad. Sort of like reaching for a book on a shelf. Only neither the book nor the shelf is real. And when I’m finished, I can simply send it back to the Cloud, so it doesn’t take up unnecessary space on my phone.

I like listening to books. New technology streamlines the process. Maybe simple acceptance without true understanding is the way to go here. Not thinking about how weird it is helps too.

About Mary Jane

I am a retired English teacher. My husband, Frank, and I have lived on Cape Cod since 2000. I am a lifelong bread baker and writer and have been posting a blog on Falmouth Patch for the last few years. Savory Seasons has been largely devoted to recipes and food in general. I am hoping to expand my focus in this new blog.
