Lobster For Breakfast

IMG_1291

Having a lobster roll for breakfast. That probably sounds strange to anyone other than my daughter, who shares my habit. She and I also have crabmeat rolls for breakfast Christmas morning, but that’s another story.

Lobster salad at the Chart Room on Saturday night means leftovers that lead right into a great Sunday morning breakfast. I have chips too. Frank no longer comments on this. He just tries to ignore what’s on my plate.

The Chart Room was amazingly  crowded last night, even for a holiday weekend. The outdoor drink line snaked down the walkway, and people were sitting on every available patch of grass, since getting a seat in a chair on the shells was out of the question.

The night was balmy, breezy and beautiful, so the desire to be outside by the water was totally understandable. Our standing reservation was more than a convenience last night. It was a prized  possession!
