Grasp The Moment Days

IMG_0569

These are the grasp
the moment days.
The days we dream
about during the
doldrums of a
New England winter.
The balmy, dew-kissed
mornings. The evenings
lit by fiery sunsets
over the water.
Lobsters and steamers.
Melted butter dribbling
down chins and staining shirts.
Sand on the floor.
Wet beach towels draped
over the deck rail.
Fireworks and frisbees.
Flip-flop clad feet.
And the fireflies that blink
goodnight at the end of day.

About Mary Jane

I am a retired English teacher. My husband, Frank, and I have lived on Cape Cod since 2000. I am a lifelong bread baker and writer and have been posting a blog on Falmouth Patch for the last few years. Savory Seasons has been largely devoted to recipes and food in general. I am hoping to expand my focus in this new blog.
