Quandary

IMG_0725I guess, technically, quandary means being uncertain about what to do in a difficult situation, so perhaps it’s not the optimum word here. My situation is not difficult, but I’m still in a quandary about it.

The issue of the day is treadmill versus walking outdoors. It’s a beautiful morning. As I was taking my routine half hour jaunt on the treadmill, I started thinking about the fact that I could be taking a walk in the neighborhood or on the beach instead of in the basement. Yes, it would require more effort than pulling on a pair of sneakers and heading downstairs, but might the rewards be worth it?

The treadmill is easy, but easy doesn’t make it the right choice. The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced that it’s time to shake up my routine. Sand beneath my sneakers, here I come!
