Good Morning!

ImageSo much for my penchant for easing into the day with a quiet cup of coffee. Enter Sam, the big-mouthed cat. We have a dog who rarely barks, and a cat who makes his presence known on a regular basis.

Something set him off this morning. Howls and scampering paw steps broke the stillness of the dawn. My guess is that another cat or a squirrel was lurking on the deck on the other side of the French doors and Sam, the scaredy cat, felt threatened.

The ruckus woke Daisy, who decided that it would be a good time to start her day with a trip outside and an early breakfast. That accomplished, she went back to sleep. Sam, after the traumatic start to his day, is sleeping too. Frank slept through the whole thing.

I’m finally having my cup of coffee
