Signs of Spring (However Fleeting)

IMG_0855Irrationally excited about the fact that the temperature is predicted to hover around 50 today. In addition to that, the little sun icon is dancing on the page of the forecast. Yesterday’s rain washed the snow from the deck, clearing a path to the sadly neglected Weber. Thinking about what we should grill for dinner tonight.

For some people, spring is heralded by the first robin sighting. For me, it’s when the snow melts and unearths Daisy’s stash of toys in the garden.

I know, I know. It’s still February. The cold will return, and snow will blanket the toys once again unless I get out there to collect them and tuck them in the garage.

But for today, I plan to revel in the relative warmth and indulge my fantasy that spring is a blink away.
